Jackson’s Mill Jubilee

Jackson's Mill, a former grist mill listed on the National Register of Historic Places, serves as the centerpiece of a state-owned museum property, and was the boyhood home of Confederate general Thomas Jonathan "Stonewall" Jackson.

For these covers from @McGeekiest Cachets, I took a modern-day picture of the mill from the river side and applied an effect to make it appear to be a watercolor painting. I performed a gradient fade from right to left. In the upper-left, I positioned a West Virginia "Forever" coil single from the Flags of Our Nation series (Scott #4329). The stamp is cancelled with a "Jacksons Mill Jubilee" pictorial postmark from Weston, West Virginia, 26452 (the closest city to the mill), dated September 3, 2016.
