La Cueva del Indio “Not all treasure is silver and gold” first day covers

These first day covers by Joshua McGee imagine a pirate crew with a golden locket that they believe leads to a treasure-filled cave on a distant island. Upon arrival, they discover that the cave holds no riches, and that the natural beauty of Arecibo, Puerto Rico is the true treasure.

The covers use the $6.45 Priority Mail "La Cueva del Indio" stamp, and were cancelled with the official first-day-of-issue postmark from January 17, 2016 in Washington, D.C.
