“Birthday of George Washington” Masonic Stamp Club cover

President George Washington was famously a Freemason, and the George Washington Masonic Stamp Club offered a pictorial cancellation in Mount Vernon, Virginia on February 22 of 2016 to honor what would have been his 284th birthday.

I recycled my artwork for the George Washington cover from the Presidential Birthplace series, and used the 1986 George Washington stamp from the Ameripex souvenir sheets (Scott 2216a) along with a 41¢ nondenominated tan U.S. Flag First-Class stamp (Scott 4129).
