Scio Centennial “Covered Bridge” covers

The small town of Scio, Oregon calls itself "The Covered Bridge Capital of the West", and offers a Covered Bridge Tour of five old covered bridges. In 2016, the town celebrated its sesquicentennial.

These covers by Joshua McGee feature a processed photograph of the Jordan Covered Bridge (which spans the Thomas Creek). The town's seal is positioned in the lower-left. For postage, I used one Oregon flag stamp from the Flags of Our Nation series (Scott #4316). It is cancelled with a Scio, Oregon pictorial postmark featuring a covered bridge and a Conestoga wagon, dated October 24, 2016 from Scio, Oregon, 97374.
