From Ohio Memory, distributing information submitted by the New London Public Library:

New London Public Library, dedicated on July 15, 1916. Funding for the project came from a grant from Andrew Carnegie and donation of land by Homer Johnson. Homer Johnson was the father of famous American architect, Phillip Johnson. [1]
