This cover by Joshua McGee features a photograph of Walden Pond in autumn overlaid with a quote from Thoreau's journals:
"You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment. Fools stand on their island of opportunities and look toward another land. There is no other land; there is no other life but this."
It bears stamps honoring Henry David Thoreau as well as artist Frederic Edwin Church, who retraced Thoreau's trek through the woods of northern Maine when he read Thoreau's essay about traveling there.
It was postmarked in Concord, MA on Darwin Day — February 12 — of 2016.
