Pulp author Robert E. Howard — most famous as creator of the character Conan the Barbarian — was honored with a pictorial postmark by his hometown of Cross Plains, Texas on June 9, 2017. My covers feature a vignetted photograph of Howard and an illustration from an early Conan story, now in the public domain, against a blue steel background. My use of the Moon stamp is a nod to the story title "Shadows in the Moonlight" (originally "Iron Shadows in the Moon"), one of the original Conan short stories.
I prepared ten, and they turned out nicely. Duplicates are available for $8 apiece the United States or $11 internationally. Email mcgeekiest@gmail.com if interested.
