Butlerpex “Breast Cancer Awareness”

One in eight women will receive a breast cancer diagnosis during their life. But it doesn't have to stay this way. Buying Breast Cancer semipostals from the United States Postal Service channels a slight surcharge to breast cancer research, and is a small way to help.

This cover by Joshua McGee depicts new 3D medical imaging technology that is helping with early diagnosis and better treatment. The haunting statistic of "1 in 8 women" is positioned in the lower-right. I added a shadowed pink ribbon in support of the cause.

It bears a 2014 First-Class Breast Cancer semipostal (Scott #B5) and is canceled with a Butlerpex, Pennsylvania "Breast Cancer Awareness" pictorial postmark in pink ink.
